The Golden temple is the divine abode of the Sikhs located in the city of Amritsar. A significant temple is a place of great beauty and sublime peacefulness. It was constructed by the fifth Sikh guru, Guru Arjan, who himself designed the structure of the temple. The Temple has some exceptional features, spread over in the center of a Sarovar. The devotees bathe in the pool and believe that the water has some remedial assets that can cure many diseases. The huge dining halls and dormitories in the shrine offer Guru Ka Langar and accommodation to all pilgrims. From early morning to the sunset the temple grounds reverberate with the chanting of hymns, prayers, and other devotional songs, which makes a beautiful ambiance.

The Golden Temple has an exceptional architectural style, there are four entrances here. The temple is a two story marble structure and can be reached by the Guru’s bridge. The upper floor is gold plated and crowned with a dome and the lower floor is made of white marble. The main attraction here is the murals that adorn the walls and ceilings of the temple. This spectacular shrine resides numerous other small temples inside its premises. The Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the sacred book of the Sikhs, embellishes the sanctum of the shrine.

The city of Amritsar is well connected to different places in Northern India and has a great network of commute. Raja Sani international Airport is the only international port that makes it easier for international tourist to reach the place. And also, the city is well connected to the railways and roadways as there are lots of trains and bus services available to reach the place.
