Rajasthan is the real contribution in India tourism. Still, I’ll say Rajasthan is the most overlooked tourist place in India, why? Because in summer season you avoid it due to warm weather, and during winter, most of us prefer to visit beaches or mountains. But this is the truth!
However, Rajasthan has its own class & uniqueness which you can’t compete with any other visiting place. The art & culture, historical sites, heritage hotels, fair & festivals, shopping, wildlife experience, and most importantly the taste of Rajasthan you simply can’t get at other destination in India. So, in my list, Rajasthan will always remain at 1st position among all the places famous for tourism in India.

If you’ve been all these destinations, I suggest you go Sikkim. You won’t believe but Sikkim named the best destination to visit in the world in 2014 by the largest travel magazine ‘Lonely Planet’.
Nathula, Tsomgo Lake, Yumthang, Gurudongmar Lake, Yumesamdong, Katao are the must go places you’re visiting Sikkim for snowfall. However, limited transportation is the only concern if you don’t get a chance to Lakshadweep, otherwise, I don’t think there is any honeymooon place in India which can replace Lakshadweep.
