- You can also visit the beautiful caves of Khandagiri &Udayagiri built by King Kharavela. These are the twin hills which was carved into cave like chambers in the face of the hill and said to be built in the 2nd century BC, and you can also see some of the beautiful carvings in the caves. You can see the Rani Gumpha or the Queen’s Cave which is the largest of all and it is double-storied, this cave is elaborately decorated with beautiful artifacts and while you see the Hati Gumpha or the Elephant Cave, which has carvings especially of the empire of the King.
- You cannot miss the Dhauli Giri, which are grand plains that bore witness to the gruesome war of Kalinga by the Mauryan emperor Ashoka. This is the place where King Ashoka regretted his deeds after the Kalinga War in 261 BC. You can see a sculpted elephant, and the Shanti Stupa or the peace pagoda near this place.
- You ca not miss the Nandankanan Wildlife Sanctuary as this is a place where you can spot white tigers and other animals like the nilgiri langur, python, Indian pangolin, mouse deer and many other rare species of Mammals and birds too.
- You can visit the Odisha state museum where you can see the ancient coins, scriptures and other artifacts.
