The Gateway of India is one of the architectural marvels of India. It stands on the shores of the Arabian Sea and welcomes every tourist who comes to the Mumbai city. It was built in 1924 and is a combination of the Indo-Saracenic architecture. It is built in yellow basalt stone and is marvelous architectural wonder of Mumbai.

Elephanta Caves is the world heritage site at Elephanta Island in Mumbai harbor. The temples of the Elephanta Caves are made out of rocks which are devoted to Lord Shiva. Juhu Beach

Juhu Beach lies in the suburbs of Mumbai. It is one of the most affluent places in Mumbai. It is the preferred locations of filmmakers for shooting films in Mumbai. It is a superb delight of snacks like bhelpuri, chuski ice balls dipped in syrup, Pani Puri, pao bhaji etc. as you could experience the unique taste here. Marine Drive

Marine Drive located along the coastline of Arabian Sea in South Mumbai is popularly known as the Queen’s Necklace because during the night the street lights shine like diamonds from a higher elevation. The view of the sunset over the Arabian Sea from Marine drive is superb. Boulevard is the main lure of Marine Drive as the palm trees along the boulevard make it more striking.

Haji Ali Dargah

Haji Ali Dargah is a mosque located on an island close to the sea shore of Worli in Mumbai. It was built in 1431 in the reminiscence of a Muslim saint Sayyed Peer Haji Ali Shah Bukhari. The structure of the dargah signifies Indo-Islamic style of architecture. Hundreds of devotees visit Dargah to take the blessings of the saint.

Nehru Science Center

Nehru Science Centre, Mumbai is India’s largest interactive science center located in Worli. Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus

Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus is the most significant train station in the city. Originally named Victoria Terminus was designed by Fredrick William Stevens in 1888. A fusion of Gothic and traditional Indian architecture, stone dome, various turrets, pointed arches and an unusual ground plan makes the place stunning.

Hanging Garden

Hanging Gardens situated on the western side of the Malabar Hills was built in 1880. The hedges in the garden are cut in the shape of animals giving it a unique look. The flower clock of the garden is one of its main attractions of the place. These gardens symbolize the green and peaceful side of Mumbai and give a spectacular view of the sunset over the Arabian Sea.

Churchgate

Churchgate is a well-known location in South Mumbai. It is famous for Churchgate railway station, which is a terminus and headquarters of Western railway. It also houses some of Mumbai’s prestigious buildings and organizations. The place is also the popular spot for the shooting of numerous films. The place is also a shopping hub; sari is the most suggested shopping object to purchase here. Churchgate is good for strolling around, taking pictures, and admiring the different types of architecture and buildings.

Flora Fountain

Flora Fountain located in Fort district of Mumbai is an architectural heritage monument. The structure of the fountain was designed by R. Norman Shaw. The fountain is carved from Portland stone and is coated with white oil paint. And the monument was carved by James Forsythe. A splendid statue of the Roman Goddess is installed at the top of the structure, which makes the fountain edifice even more beautiful. The fountain is light up at night for a stunning view.

Versova Beach

Versova Beach located in the Andheri area in Western Mumbai is famous fishing area. The place is best for sitting back, lazing on the shore and watching fishermen catching fish from the sea. St. Thomas Cathedral

St. Thomas Cathedral is the first Anglican Church in Mumbai and holds marvelous religious importance for the Christian population of Mumbai. The Kanheri Caves

Kanheri caves are located inside Sanjay Gandhi National Park, to the north of Borivali, in the outskirts of North Mumbai. The Caves are renowned for their natural Basalt formations, ancient Indian styled architecture and the 109 special entrances to the caves. It’s a beautiful place to visit.
