- People mostly come to Ajmer to visit the popular Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti Dargah. It is located on the Taragarh hills and comprises of a number of white marble buildings settled in all over the place within two yards, along with a huge gate which was contributed by the Nizam of Hyderabad and there is also an Akbari Mosque, situated there which was built by the Mughal emperor ShāhJahān. It holds the hemispherical tomb of the saint. Akbar and his queen used to come here by foot on pilgrimage from Agra every year in to pray for a child and after that they were blessed with a son, Prince Jahangir.
- You can visit the Taragarh Fort also known as the ‘Star Fort’which was said to be the base of the Chauhan Rulers. This fort is known as one of the oldest hill forts of India and world.
- You can also visit the Anasagar Lake which is exquisitely beautiful and also has a garden in it, this lake is huge and you can have a great time sailing on boats here.
- Do visit the Adhai Din Ka Jhonpda which was a Vaishnava temple but it was converted into a mosque by Qutubuddin Aibak.
- You should also visit the Soniji Ki Nasiyan where you can see rich architecture in this Digambara Jain temple. There is a main chamber in this temple which is also known as the Swarna Nagari or “City of Gold”as it houses several gold-plated wooden figures, portraying several figures of Jain religion.

- You must visit Pushkar (meant only for Hindus) to see the colorful market lanes of the place and it would be an extra ordinary experience and you can buy several things from here like ghagra, colorful cloths, dupattas and most importantly you can have great traditional food from this market.
- Do visit museum which is King Akbar’s royal residence and it is also known for keeping beautiful Rajput and Mughal armors.
- Do not forget to visit the Shah Jahan’s Mosques and to view the beautiful architecture of it.This mosque is made of white marble, and intricately designed with trellis-work.
