Bharatpur is a city located in the state of Rajasthan in India. Bharatpur was previously considered to be an indestructible city and was called as the capital of the Jat kingdom. Bharatpur is also included as the part of the National capital Region or NCR and that is why it can be easily reached from Delhi.Bharatpur is actually better known for its Keoladeo Bird Sanctuary, which is a famous bird sanctuary and known for numerous visits of all types of migratory birds including the rare Siberian Crane. This is a city with great history ruled by jats and has a prominent place in the history of the jats. In Bharatpur, you can also visit lots of Palaces and temples too.

  • In Bharatpur the most important place which you can visit this the Keoladeo Bird Sanctuary which is also know as the Keoladeo Ghana National Park. This park is one of the worlds most resonate bird feeding and breeding places and houses almost 364 species of bird, including there are many threatened migratory birds from Central part of Asia re also seen here It is a declared protected place for the birds since 1971 and it is a declared World Heritage Site.
  • The park is located in the Gangetic and makes an ideal site for breeding for herons, ducks, cormorant sand, storks and in this place you can also find a huge number of migratory birds and ducks breeding.
  • In This sanctuary you can spot of warblers, babblers, common parakeet, waterfowl, bulbuls, Indian shag, ruff, great cormorant, partridge’sgadwall, shoveler, common teal, and cotton teal buntings, cotton teal, chats and quails, bee-eaters, crest serpent eagles. You can also see common waterfowl are gadwall, tufted duck, comb duck, oriental ibis little cormorant, common sandpiper, white spoonbill, painted stork, Asian open-billed stork, , darter, wood sandpiper, green sandpiper,Sarus crane, with its spectacular courtship dance, and many others are found here.
  • Not only bords but you can also spot numerous mammals in the Keoladeo Bird Sanctuary and the most common among them are the feral cattle Blue bull or the nilgai and spotted deer are common in this park but you can spot sambarin lesser numbers. You can also see the Wild boar, porcupine, the small Indian mongoose,the common Indian gray mongoose, and you can also spot the jungle cat and the fishing cat too. The Asian palm civet and the small Indian civet, smooth-coated otter Jackals and hyenas are also seen. You can also see some unusual species of micerats, gerbils and bats in the park.
  • You can also spot near about 34 species of fishes and lots of poisonous snakes in the Keoladeo bird Sanctuary.
