Chottanikkara Devi Temple is a famous Bhagavathy Temple located in Ernakulam Town of Kerala. It is one of the most revered Bhagavathy temple in the state and is also famous for its architecture. Chottanikkara Devi is worshipped here in the temple in three different forms i.e. as Saraswati in the morning, draped in white; as Lakshmi at noon, draped in crimson; and as Durga in the evening, decked in blue.
Chottanikara Makam thozhal is the most important festival of the temple celebrated in the month of Kumbham. People suffering from mental illnesses commonly visit the temple as it is believed that Goddess cure the illness of her devotees. The temple is built in traditional Kerala style of architecture in wooden style.
