The oldest and busiest markets in Delhi , Chandni Chowk was built in 17th century by the Mughal emperor of India Shah Jahan .Chandni Chowk or the Moonlight Square was outlined and made by Princess Jahanara in 1650 A.D who was Shahjahan’s favorite girl. Chandni Chowk goes through the center of the walled city, from the Lahori Darwaza or Lahore Gate of the Red Fort to Fatehpuri Masjid. On both sides of the wide Chandni Chowk lanes are verifiable historical neighborhoods served by slender paths . In spite of the fact that today Chandni Chowk seems stifled with clogging shops and people , it retains its historical charm till date.

In-fact it is one of the largest whole sale market in Asia.

Bhagirath Palace is Asia’s biggest business market for electrical products and additionally offers medicinal gear and allopathic medicines. Kinari Bazaar is the best place to search for zari and zardozi trimmings and tinsel. The Katra Neel is famous for its cloth market that offers different sorts of fabrics, for example, silks, silk, crepe, cotton and muslin. Paranthewali Gali is famous for its stuffed Indian Paranthas of different flavors.

You can find here shops and eateries of which many of them are 100 years old since time of Britishers and Mughal times. Chandni Chowk is thus the must visit place of Delhi.
