Jaisalmer Fort located in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan is one of the largest forts of the world built in 1156 ;AD by the Bhati Rajput ruler Rao Jaisal. The Fort is popularly known as the ‘Sonar quila’ by the locals and overlooks th great Thar Desert, the fort built in yellow sandstones looks like golden fort standing atop the Trikuta Hill built in Rajputana and Islamic architecture.
