Sulthan Bathery is a town located in the state of Kerala in India. This place was previously known as Sultan Battery and this is actually a Jain Temple which has quite interesting story after it. This place got its name from Tipu Sultan of Mysore who took this Jain temple which was abandoned at that time and he used it as his battery in the 18th century, as a consequence the name Sultan’s Battery was kept after it. But this temple is no more treated as Sultan’s Bathery but at present time this is a Jain Temple which has become a tourist destination for the tourists from all over the country.

- In this place you can make a start with the Edakkal Caves. These are asplendid caves and the beauty cannot be missed which is made in the Ambukuthy Mountain. As, it is just a split rock about 96 feet long and 22 feet wide but is a crack made by a corner of rock splitting off from the main Entrance to Edkal Caves body due to some natural causes. The rock cave has some exciting carvings, which are present in shape of human and animal figures and articles that were associated with the lifestyle of human of a prehistoric era..
