Chilika Wildlife Sanctuary
Chilika wildlife Sanctuary is the treasure trove located in the heart of Orissa. The place resides some of the amazing birds that one can get to see on the planet. The most commonly visible birds here are Eagle, Geese and Flamingoes. It is indeed an ornithologist’s paradise. Also, it has been declared as a site of global significance in the 1970s. Apart from Birds Chilika Wildlife Sanctuary is also houses Blackbuck, Spotted Deer, Golden Jackals and Hyenas.

There are about 225 species of fish like Acentrogobius Griseus, Alepes Djedaba, Arius and the Elops Machnata as the place is rich in aquatic wildlife. The sanctuary also abides Dolphin, Prawn, Crab, Limbless Lizard and Crustaceans are found here. The place is very popular for its wonderful Sunrise and Sunset and is of great tourist attraction. Besides the sanctuary lies the Chilika Lake that offers an amazing boating experience with bird watching. The motorboat and Kayak ride gives great insight of the Wildlife Sanctuary.
