Durgam Cheruvu is a freshwater lake located in Hyderabad and is also called as Secret Lake because it is stowed away between the territories of Jubilee Hills and Madhapur. Spotted adjacent Hyderabad city it sprawls over 83 acres. Throughout prior times, this lake used to supply water to the Golconda Fort. The lake is called Durgam Cheruvu in light of the fact that there was no way promoting it for a considerable length of time and it was totally encased from all sides, making it challenging to realize that there was a lake past the rocks. This was the reason not many individuals used to visit this spot.
Today the lake have been added with various entertainment features like gardens, fountains, boating facilities and more.Tourist can enjoy adventure activities like rock climbing, trekking, rappelling, an art gallery and a sculptor park for artists.There is also an amphitheater, with a capacity to hold 1,500 people at a time. The lake is open for tourists from 9:30 in the morning to 6:30 in the evening.
