  • Idukki is a place where you can find beautiful natural resources of the state like Idukki Arch Dam and this is the world’s second and Asia’s first arch dam, constructed across the Kuravan and Kurathi hills. There are beautiful areas that are seen by hundreds of tourists.
  • You can also visit the Idukki Wildlife Sanctuary where you can see Elephants, Sambar Deer, Porcupine, Jungle cats, Wild dogs, Wild boar Malabar Gaint Squirrel, Cobra, Jungle Fowl, Black bulbul, Kingfisher and many others.
  • In Idukki you cannot miss visiting Munnar which is considered as the most beautiful place of Kerala. Here you can see some of the largest tea plantations in the state. Also, do not forget to visit Marayur which is a place where you can only see the forest of sandalwood trees. This place is located on the slopes of the Western Ghats and known for its natural beauty.
  • If you are a lover of wildlife views then you should visit the Thattekad Bird Wildlife Sanctuary which is located on the banks of the Periyar River and you can spot various birds like hornbill, falcon, jungle fowl, falcon and many others.
